Set on the very top and edge of Mt Tamborine with 10 acres of lawns and gardens, Aaronlee Retreat offers stunning and sensational views of the Gold Coast, Lamington national Park and Mt Warning.
This new federation homestead has cottage style accommodation and deluxe suites with spa, fireplace and private balconies, each is separate and detached from the main homestead. All have kitchenettes, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a TV as well as lounge and dining table and chairs.
Wake up at your leisure to the call of kookaburras and lorikeets. Listen for the call of a frog mouthed owl. Perhaps you will see a kangaroo hop by.
You might like to feed Tory the horse, who thinks he is Mr. Ed. We would suggest you stay 2 or 3 days and use “Aaronlee” as a base.
Only 35 minutes drive to Surfers Paradise, 50 minutes to Brisbane and 20 minutes to Movieworld, Wet ‘n’ Wild and Dreamworld. Aaronlee Retreat is at the entrance to Lamington National Park with all its scenic beauty, trail walks etc. The mountain also has many craft shops, quaint tea-houses and the like.
How to find us…
Coming down from Brisbane, take the M1 motorway and exit 57.
Go to the top of the mountain, right at first roundabout passing the craft shops and then through the second.
From this point and not before, follow all signs to “Canungra”.
Follow road to end, right into Lahey Road, left into Main Western Road, passing another roundabout and 200 metres on you will turn right into White Road.
Proceed 4 klm’s passing Wilson road and then turn left into Lahey Lookout road at the flashing lights. You are only 500 metres to Aaronlee Retreat.
